Love: knot (and lazy daisy) addiction

Knot Addiction.
stitched by dozydotes

Wow. Just had to show you this amazing example of french knot and lazy daisy addiction, by dozydotes. In case you didn't know - lazy daisy is this week's stitch in the Take a Stitch Tuesday challenge.

How many hours do you think this piece took? Let's get some guesses going, then we'll ask her! Wonderful work!

  8. Time taken? For me, it would be one billion hours (me and french knots generally don't get along)

Since no one has posted a guess so far, I'll take a shot in the dark and say, um, 8 hrs? (I really have no idea)

  11. Oh goodness! 9 hours? 12 hours? I love the "dreaded" French knots, now that I've searched every available online resource for video tutorials! Now that we've become friends, they actually go fairly quickly (once you're in the groove)! This work is stunning!

  13. Hi, everyone! Many thanks for all those lovely comments. I`m guessing it must have taken about 25 hours, spread over two weeks of stitching with the TV on. Happy stitching!

  16. This is stunning! Just the colors and design alone make it a beautiful piece of work, but realizing that it is made from only 2 stitches, and one of them is French knots, takes it to a whole new level. Now, knowing my own ability with French knots, I'd guess that this took an eon, but for someone who has clearly mastered the technique, I'd guess around 18 hours...
