Vintage needlebooks always have such fun, colorful images of women gathering to stitch and sew. This one's a bit unusual because it depicts a group of women embroidering. You know I love that. But I especially love this super swank, modern illustration:

Oh my gosh, talk about taking me back. Haven't seen these in years and years. Too bad these aren't given out anymore. I remember different businesses would give these to customers. I was in high school, 40+ years ago.
ReplyDeleteI have one of these that is very similar to the one first pictured. The inside is lined with spiderweb printed golden foil. It so delicate and one of my fave vintage finds!

Those vintage needlebooks you featured are really fun! I have a few standard ones that I've acquired over the years and always appreciate how they tell us something about those prior times--the clothes, the activities. Mostly, I am struck by how the pace of life feels much slower than today. Thanks for sharing!
