We couldn't help but be inspired by the awesome Doodle Stitchalong last month, and if there was one thing that you guys requested when we asked you what you wanted to see more of - it was stitchalongs!
So, wanna stitchalong with me this month for Feeling Stitchy's first-ever stitchalong?
Yes? Well then you'll need this vintage pattern, generously shared with us by Claudia of Stitchado:
Ready? Collect your ideas, threads, and your fabric and be ready to meet me again this Friday for the first part of our first-ever February stitchalong!!! :)
This is so beautiful! I would love to stitch it along the edge of a tablecloth, with a really nice trim, but for now I may just settle for knocking just one motif out on what I hope will be my snow day.
ReplyDeleteI will be back on Friday and give it a try.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm in!
ReplyDeleteOh!! I have this design and was thinking to stitch for so long..time has come..count me in please..
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I am so happy you are doing this! I just found out about the Doodlestitchalong on Sunday...just a little too late...so I'm really glad there is another one so soon!
ReplyDeleteOoh! Loving this design, might as well do another stitch-along!
ReplyDeleteOoh a Stichalong - I'm very much a beginner - but I'll give it a try.
ReplyDeletethis is such a cute pattern! i am envisioning the large mum-like flower on a cardigan or the small flowers down the buttons and button-holes of a cardigan... but i'm just learning how to embroider and i haven't quite got lazy daisy down (such a newbie). i think i will practice some more and then try embellishing some of my cardis. :)
ReplyDeleteIf I knew how to embroider...I totally would. This is beautiful and I'm sure to still be digging out of the Snowmageddon that is hitting Chicago right now (current snowfall is 10 inches and more to come). Pray for me folks....I'm gonna be forced to craft!
ReplyDeleteCount me in!
ReplyDeleteYay! I loved the Doodle Stitch Along and was so dissapointed that it was coming to an end. This is perfect timing! Very excited!

ReplyDeleteI'm a beginner- but I really want to stitch along too if I can keep up! I'll be back on friday to check it out! How fun!!!!
ReplyDeleteI will try with all my might to get into this stitching on Friday (weather may delay my start - stitching things are in my office:)

I can not wait to start. I will be back Friday!
ReplyDeleteOoh! This is perfect for a pair of pajamas I just finished sewing :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously? Cool!

Either way, count me in!
I love the sound of this but I've never done a stitchalong - please can someone explain how it works? Are we meant to finish all at the same time or post photos of our progress, I'd love to take part, it sounds fun!

I'm such a newbie with this but I love to hand stitch/embroidery/Redwork but what kind of threads/floss do I use? CONFUSED? What is cotton 40 or 50 WT " OR " pearl cotton 8 or 12 WT? What do I use & what's the difference? Any help from any one would be super.
