Did you hear that loud noise? Yeah, sorry about that, it was me falling off my chair when I saw this. *thus* Ouch.
How amazing is this? I absolutely love everything about it. From the delicate looking stitches to the unusual subject; an old-timey diver and a girl...
Great line work! but I wish there were mores ways to display embroidery. The hoop is a wonderful built in frame, however I do get a little tired of if.
ReplyDeleteThat is really cool!
ReplyDeleteAmelia, I hear you! I love embroidery hoops and canvases, but I'd love to find new ways to display my embroidery. Any ideas out there? :)

ReplyDeletethe linen is really good too. is this regular sewing thread? in terms of displaying embroidery, I recently hung my embroidery in inset box frames - they were really beautiful, and made me see my work in a new light. I got the technique here: http://www.needlenthread.com/2007/12/finish-work-how-to-frame-piece-of.html. I applied it to 20x20 and 9x9 frames from IKEA. Was very happy with the results!
