I didn'tknow it was National Embroidary Month. Awesome.
Right now, I'm working on a piece for a couple (from my wife's work) who just got married...and the receiption/party is the end of Feb., so I'm doing a little cute thing for them. :-)
Yey! That my favorite month then:) I am making cross-stitched buttons and cupcakes! I am into japanese cross-stitch charts at the moment! They just so cute:)
Oh what a gorgeous image. My girls like to stitch like that, together & chat, i hope they keep it up. Well i'd like to stitch more Babushka dolls, they are so delightful. Love Posie
Has everyone seen the embroidered love letter on the Bright Star film site? It was the grand prize winner in their promo contest for a $5,000 diamond ring. It's great for Valentine's Day.
I never knew that embroidery could have its own month like sewing. I know I have been in a rut when it comes to embroidery. No ideas of what to make, but I do have some pieces that I have to work on, and this is certainly the month to be working on them, huh?
Love your blog!!! Why hasn't it walked into my life earlier LOL. I am the author of a blog on behalf of my mum for 'cottage garden threads'. You're on our favorites blog roll now for sure!
I just finished some embroidered hearts for Valentine-themed pillows and sachets. I started with the outline of a heart and experimented with ways to fill it in.
I'm stitching my husband's and mine name in reverse siholuetteed boxes. Hard to explain I know. lol But thats what I'm doing and its all in the satin stitch. :)
Hooray for stitchers! As I sometimes have a stitching short attention span, I'm doing a pillowcase and a notepad cover (when I get bored with one, I switch). My "multi-tasking" drives my husband crazy.
