CHA CHA CHA Baby!
Wow! What a crazy couple of weeks it's been. I just got back from the CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) show in Anaheim, California. Although the show was mostly scrapbooking there were some wonderful needlecrafts to see.
The biggest news? Aunt Martha is coming out with a new line of patterns! They are geared toward a more edgier hipper crowd (think Sublime Stitching) and they are super cute. They will be coming out in mid March and will not go under the moniker of Aunt Martha but instead Stitcher's Revolution. Be sure to watch out for them in your local sewing store or online.
Other neat stuff? The Dimension Neeedlework Company was so excited to see that their demographic was changing and seeing so many new people taking up needle crafts. They are putting out new and more modern patterns while keeping the classics alive. They also have a new thread organizer with their kits that really help you keep your colors organized.
I was so giddy when we went by the DMC booth and desperately wanted to smell their scented thread but alas, they didn't have it there and I left empty handed and my sniffer was disappointed. They did show us the new line of jewel tones and holographic tones they will be carrying so, I perked up a little bit but I still really wanted to smell blueberry thread.
I also met with the people that brought us the book A Rainbow of Stitches. They also publish several other craft books and told me to look forward to other amazing stitching books as well as a new Alicia Paulson book.EEEPPP!!! I can not wait!
Whew! I'm tired again from just the recap! There are so many fun and exciting toys on the horizon for needleworkers. I can't wait to see what everyone creates with them. I'm off to another adventure-until next week! Take care and stay stitchy!
Wow wee, incredible!! I love Anaheim, many happy childhood memories there of course, including Disneyland & Knotts Berry Farm. Love Posie
