Gorgeous stitch sampler

sampler
Stitched by Lisa's Tea Time

I just love the amazing variety of lines, colors, and textures on this. I'm also really impressed when people embroider anything freehand on Aida cloth - for some reason I find the large weave intimidating for freehand work... Bravo, Lisa!

  3. WOW! WOW! WOW! Friggen awesome!!

I can't believe my little sampler is featured on Feeling Stitchy!?! I'm going to call everyone I know, seriously!

Thank you for your comments, I really didn't know what I was doing when I started on this piece of fabric... I had just gotten out of hospital (June 2009) and was on bedrest, I needed something to keep my hands and mind busy, and always wanted to learn embroidery.

After I got the basics, I just started doodling little bits of this and that...
    flowers & stars
    dog bones
    a tea cup
    a little house
    wedding rings
a beer for my husband (that's my fav!).

I had, and still have no plans for this little scrapper, am open to suddestions...

Have a great day, I feel so happy to have something featured here, I've been a fan of this blog forever...Weeeeee!

  4. Yeah, Aida's kind of hard on freehand, but there's a lot of counted stitches you could sampler!
