Why I Love Embroidery
One: I love lining up all the colors and picking through them. I love buying the thread and choosing as many colors as I can find.
Two: I love expressing myself in thread, little quotes and lines that challenge my behaviour!
Three: Embroidery is a great rainy day project! I always have to be busy, and embroidery travels easy, so I can carry some in my purse for those times I have to "wait", and then I don't get crabby!
Four: Sometimes embroidery can remind me what's good for me. Slow down, look around, take notes, sketch, feel, dream, wonder............
Five: Embroidery can become addictive, but a good addiction........
Let me know why you love embroidery in your comments.

Monkey bag for 26 cents
This incredibly adorable monkey bag was created by Molly Chicken for 26 cents. Okay, pence. (?) Ignoring the tricky exchange rate, that is still wonderfully cheap. This is why I love crafting.

Fall Lovelies
One artist I spotted on etsy has an array of simple and wonderful fall lovelies. I am browsing while drinking my favorite fall drink---cafe mocha. Jenny reminds of windy, balmy days and cool cricket nights.
Whatever am I going to do with all these tomatoes? This has been an especially good harvest for me this year.......we have been BLT happy!
This weekend I am headed to Northern Wisconsin to view the leaf colors---affectionately known as Colorama Weekend. These leaves are a beautiful way to celebrate such earthly ornaments!
This reminds me of the chickory that lines the roadways here in the fall.
And, it is just a matter of time before the winter berries appear here in the North..........

September Craftster Feature Project ,Challenge and Shout out.
Don't forget to hop over and check out her interview.
Also, this month, we have a new challenge. The theme for the challenge this month is "What does Fall mean to you". The entries are due October 8th-15th. The prize this time will be a lovely pendant from I Sew Cute and a $20.00 JoAnn's gift card. So, think about what fall means to you. Does it mean going back to school? Halloween? Thanksgiving? Leaves changing. Well, stitch it up and enter the challenge!
Last but not least, I wanted to give a shout out to Julie from Sew It's for You. She took out time from her busy schedule to stitch up some super cute baby stuff for the Safety In Numbers Auction for Portland Women's Crisis Line. She is a wonderful person and an awesome embroiderer. Thank you from everyone at PWCL!

Sinister kitty
from kunderwood
Kristi, you're not the only one who thinks kitschy vintage patterns like this kitty are a wee bit sinister! :) Read more about it on her blog.
By the way, is there something in the air? I keep finding so many amazing projects in the pool!

Imaginary plants
I absolutely love the white thread on linen and the fact that she chose a chain stitch... And that her inspiration is: "the look of white paint on brown paper."
