What makes a crafty pic inspiring, you may ask? Allow me to introduce the following elements for your consideration...
use props
a fancy fabric backdrop
hang em' high (from the stairs or chairs)
throw in some flowers
model it!
if all else fails, throw it on a cute kiddo
Thanks to Mimi K, cupcakes for clara, golly g, sykossa, lucy robinson, and amyleigh, whose inspiring pics you saw above!
All great tips!
ReplyDeleteI use a silly little metal bird that peeps when it is moved as a prop for some of my photos. It was given to me by a friend as a funny gift - but I've grown to like it as an addition to my photos and now I find it quite charming : )
So, you never know what simple, overlooked thing you already own might turn into a perfect photo enhancement!
Those are great ideas. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this blog! I've been doing some embroidery...very simple stuff, and want to learn more but, it's very slow going, to say the least! I'm also the maker of one of the hearts in your 'heart thing'...and to answer the question about people being upset or anything...personally, I think it's TOTALLY COOL that I found this on someone else's blog because they like it! Plus, like you said, you aren't taking credit for it, as it links right back to flickr.
ReplyDeleteSo can anybody join this flickr group? I probably should update my pictures with some other embroidery things! lol!
Very helpful tips! Now, if only I didn't have to push my camera together in a specific spot for it to work ... well, that's another story!
ReplyDeleteCould you share how you put together those lovely mosaics? I always enjoy those posts!
